Corruption doesn't fear terrorism

Being the world's most wanted terrorist may have a few advantages but getting things done without bribing isn't one of them. Osama Bin Laden, wanted by the world for his ghastly terrorism, couldn't escape the trawl set by the corrupt officials when he wanted a safe-house in Pakistan.

His garrison that he set up in Abbottabad, where he was killed by the US Marines, was purchased after bribing a Pakistani official Rs 50,000 for the three storied building near the Pakistan Military Academy.  The building was in side the compound of the academy with a 14 foot wall serving to protect.

This news came out in a media report which was derived from the excerpts of his diary which he filled in regularly. In the compound, which was demolished by the Pakistan Army this year, there were over 137,000 documents that were retrieved alongside the diary.

The Patwari who was bribed was arrested by the Pakistan's security agencies had no idea that the person paying the money was Osama.

The report is yet to be submitted to the government of the nation and it is not clear whether they will make the report public.
