A Justice official who took on the duty of providing justice to a teenage victim of rape had ended up using the situation to his advantage. He on the pretense of helping her had resorted to molesting the hapless girl. Malay Shankar Aich, a district juvenile probation officer had been taken into custody of the police after the 14 year old girl had informed the police that he was sexually harassing her.

The girl was studying her VIII class in Choan Village of the Hariharpara Police Station jurisdiction. She had been raped a month ago by another minor and hence the case was taken up by the district juvenile board. The fifty-something probation officer had taken up the case.

He often visited the girl's residence for investigation and he used to force everyone out of the house but for the girl. The innocent members who believed that it was a form of interrogation had yearned to his requests. The gullible victim also had no idea what he was doing. She also visited the office of the accused, Aich, several times ended up being molested. After all the dirty antics of the officer she realized that he had been taking advantage of her situation and had refused to go into the room after her family members were forced out. The officer even threatened threatened to turn the case against her after the girl refused
