Special court frames charges against six Delhi HC blast accused

Wasim Akram Malik was slapped with several charged by the special NIA court for his involvement in the 2011 Delhi High Court blasts. He was booked charged under Sections 302, 120b, 307, 323, 325, 436, 440 and various sections of the UAP Act and Arms act.

In the gruesome act of terrorism, at least 15 people were killed on September 7. The attack was launched with the intent to reduce the death sentence of the Parliament attack case convict Afzal Guru to a life term.

The chargesheet against the six accused was filed under various sections of the IPC dealing with murder, criminal conspiracy, waging war against the nation, attempt to murder, causing grievous hurt and others.

Apart from Akram. Amir Abbas Dev was also arrested for his support in the blast at the reception of the Delhi high court. During the proceedings, he had turned an approver for the probe agency.

A juvenile was also arrested in relation to the case.
