Terror case: Another youth held

Bangalore police arrested another person in connection with an infamous terror case wherein 11 persons were arrested on Thursday and another one from Hyderabad on Friday. And last night (September 1), 22-year-old Mohammed Akram was taken in the custody. The Central Crime Branch police-which is probing this case-busted the youth for his alleged links with terror outfits, said sources.The police sources said that the arrested youth belonged to Nanded district of Maharashtra and he earlier visited Saudi Arabia before he returned to India.

The sources even added that the youth was residing in Bangalore for quite some time and he was allegedly hatching plan (along with the others who were arrested to eliminate VIP s including journalists in Bangalore. The city police commissioner Mr. Jyothiprakash Mirji has said that a foreign made 7.65 mm pistol along with 16 cartridges besides other incriminating articles had been recovered from the possession of the arrested youth.It may be recalled that on Thursday the city police took 11 persons including a press reporter of an English daily for allegedly hatching plot for executing attacks on several big wigs in the city. Based on the information given by them, they arrested a B.Com first year student from Hyderabad for allegedly maintaining links with terror outfits.
