Assam Violence: One more dies, Five injured

In three separate incidents spread across the most district that was most struck by the Assam violence of the ethnic clashes one person was identified as dead while five others had sustained serious injuries.

In Phumti Village of the Salakati Police outpost jurisdiction, an outbreak of violence was registered but no casualties were reported.

In another incident one person was killed and four others were injured after miscreants open fired in Fakira gram's Pakritola village.

Another person was injred in Gossaigaon's Tupimari village in an incident that took place there.

The culprits resorted to arson and also open fired but had successfully evaded the scene before the police had arrived at the location of the gruesome incidents as reported by LR Bishnoi the IGP for Law and Order in Assam.

Since the beginning of the outbreaks in Assam in Bodoland Territorial Administered Districts and Dhubri on July 19th, there were over 80 deaths officially recognized but the number is expected to be much higher.
