Militants attack US base in Afghanistan

A military official had said that a plane of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff had been damaged after militants in Afghanistan had fired rockets at the US base in their country. He said that fortunately the chief or no one else was in close vicinity of the plane and hence they could avoid injuries and casualties.

Jamie Graybeal the NATO spokesman had confirmed that the attack that occurred on Monday night on Bagram Airfield, a little away from Kabul had not altered the mission of US Army General Martin Dempsey in Afghanistan. According to the reports Dempsey had left on Tuesday morning for the mission but there is no news as to the plane being the same one which was attacked the night earlier.

Graybeal had been to Afghanistan to talk about the condition of the war after a few of US military trainers were killed by their partners in Afghanistan.
