BJP bent upon PM's resignation

On Tuesday BJP had mentioned that they would fight and demand until the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh himself abnegates the position. They had also vowed to confront the UPA on the numerous cases of corruption and complaints against the government.

They said, "Our demand is that the PM and the government should resign. The CAG reports are not the only issue as there are so many complaints and cases of corruption.

They also indicated that the scams which valued at several lakh crores were being continued though the criminal minds behind the scams are also behind the screens and safe from all the accusations. "That is why we have decided that we will confront the government till the time it resigns and we will not stop," the leader of BJP Venkaiah Naidu told the media persons outside the Parliament.

He also said that the arguments of the ruling party and the government were silly and mere make-believes to defend themselves. He also challenged that there was "no meaning" in referring the CAG reports to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Parliament.

He referred to an earlier such instance where the CAG reports were taken to the PAC where the government had not allowed it the complete freedom to function while the Chairman's report had not reached the House. He added that JPC also had no meaning saying that he wanted the government to step down from power as it lacked the rights to be in office for even a minute.

The government's claim was the BJP itself was involved in the coal scam where it formed the ruling government. "Not even one (BJP-ruled) state is involved in it. It is the central government which is responsible for it", congress contended.
