Three Mumbai police to compete in the All India level Police Shooting competition

Three Mumbai policemen would participate in the All India level police shooting competition that is to be held in Cuttack this eyar after qualifying the selections. Inpector Anil Sardal of Sewri Police and two other constables Udhay Jadhav from the SPU and Samita Patil from the local arms division were selected after they won the Maharshtra Police shooting competition held between July 10 to July 15 in Danund near Pune.

Inspector Anil is the only officer who was to represent the police of Mumbai at the competition in Cuttack. He was selected after he won the bronze in the state level competition. Two other constables won silver medals after competiting among 62 participants in all. Anil said that he was determined and focussed on bringing the medal home.

The competition in Cuttack would begin on October 3rd where best policemen from the states of India would participate and compete against each other.

Held under the aegis of the All India Police Sports Control board, the championship would host the competition between 30 teams of different organization of the police, both state and central level. Police forces such as the Border Security Force, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, Maharashtra Police, Punjab Police and Uttarakhand Police would all be taking part in the competition.  Competitions would test the skills of the participants with weapons like air rifle, air pistol, .22 rifle and pistol, .32 pistol and all bore rifles
