Karnataka High Court Judge Justice Govindarajulu was killed in a fatal road accident that took place in Anantapur on Friday. His widow Rajyalakshmi, son Akhil and driver sustained injuries.  The eldest son of Govindarajulu Abhishek had a narrow escape. The reports said the accident occurred when the car in which they were travelling lost its control after the driver tried to divert the vehicle from dashing another vehicle.

The judge whose was reported to have sustained severe injuries was first shifted to Pulivendula Hospital and later to RIMS hospital in Kadapa where he succumbed to injuries.

The increase in number of accidents is taking place on state highways mainly because of the sudden U turns and unexpected crossings by heavy vehicles. The government should try and put a check to the same.
