Honest Indian School Teacher refused $9.8Billions - HATSOFF

In this materialistic world, there are still some people who stick to principles, no matter vhow small they are and this speaks about their magnanimity and character.

The teacher from West Bengal woke up to find his bank account blessed with a hefty balance of $9.8 billion (Rs 496 billion). The honest teacher from the town of South Dinajpur, got the shock of his life, but timely recovered. Instantly he reported the matter to the bank authorities, who admitted the folly that it was wrongly credited. The teacher who was working for roughly $700 (Rs.10,000) per month was stunned to find the huge balance stashed in his account.

Parijat Saha, while making a usual online check of his State Bank of India (SBI) account on Sunday found it showing a transaction of Rs 496 billion. Saha, though dumb struck on seeing the huge amount, informed the bank authorities about the anomaly.

Well the most important issue that is to be discussed here is about the honesty of the Teacher, kudos to his integrity. Secondly this same article appeared all across the internet, but most of them carried, quoted other similar incidents. But in all other cases like with in 2009, a New Zealand couple, Leo Gao and Kara Hurring, In 2008, Pennsylvania couple Randy and Melissa Marie Pratt, in 2007, Harriet and Herbert Starbird, another Pennsylvania couple and New York, Susan R. Madakor, almost all of them mis-used the opportunity and the only in the list to have taken a decent course was Mr.Saha. Hence the importance of the case is further highlighted.

While informing the bank becomes inevitable in case of anomalies, it is also clear that the bank realizes its follies little later. But the high paid bank advocates don’t let you off so easily. Behind the bars becomes explicit.
