policeBhivandi police of Maharashtra had last week arrested a PCO owner for allegedly possessing more than 80,000 mobile SIM cards.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided the PCO owned by Anwar Sadab Ahmad Ansari alias Bablu, 33 and found the SIM cards in packed gunny bags. He was immediately taken into custody.

Police said they had suspected his involvement in the illegal operation of overseas phone calls for cheaper rates. “We found nine gunny bags of SIM cards belonging to various service providers and we have confiscated them,” said police.

Police launched the investigations to find out how the PCO owner had come into possession of so many SIM cards of various mobile companies.
