Sanam Re Story
Aakash (Pulkit Samrat), hailing from a small town called Tanakpur, leaves to Mumbai to get a good job. After he comes to know that his Daadu (Rishi Kapoor) is suffering from Alzheimers and is finding it difficult to run his shop, he comes back for the final settlement of the property.
After coming back to town, Aakash reminds about his first love Shruti (Yami Gautham), with whom he got separated, after he moved to the city, for a better future.
He later had to move to Canada, on an office emergency. In that office, he had to woo Mrs. Pablo (Urvashi Rautela) for his promotion. His plans go haywire when he meets his long lost love Shruti at the camp. Whether Shruti forgives him and come back to him or not is what the rest of the story about.
Sanam Re Analysis
‘Sanam Re’ is that predictable, where you would appear yourself that you got so much directional abilities, where you can speculate the entire movie plot just after 30 minutes of the movie. If dealt in short, there are several illogical scenes in the movie like Aakash owns a Sedan and even travels to and fro regularly, but do not have money to pay the rent of his house.
There are several loopholes in the script. Few characters like Aakash’s boss, Urvashi Rautela are utter scrap. However, there is a big twist in the second half. You will be able to see that, only if you have the courage to sit in the theatre, even after the first half. And if you feel you are courageous and watched that scene, I bet your courage will no more allow you to enhance it, by pushing you out of the theatre.
Performance
‘Sanam Re’ script did not allow Pulkit Samrat to expose his acting skills much. So his performance appears average. Nothing much to discuss about Yami Gautham too, regarding ‘Sanam Re’.
Urvashi Rautela is horrible. She is only a show piece of the film, who has nothing to do but expose her assets. Even Rishi Kapoor as ‘Daadu’ could not bring out his potentiality for the film. Rest other characters has given an average performances.
Music is just ok and the background music, for god sake, don’t ask me. The production values are grand, but the film is not actually worth it. (It is like stealing the pockets, with the knowledge of the pocket’s owner). Editing is irritating. I do not want to remind about the dialogues, as they might turn you as a nightmare. After all, how can you expect more than this, from the legend, who directed an epic called Yaariyan.
Sanam Re Final Word
You can offer your hardcore enemy, Sanam Re movie tickets, and thus take a good revenge on him.
