Union Cabinet Slashes Salaries And MPLAD Funds:- The coronavirus is expected to have a huge impact on society and it brought a huge financial crisis all over. The Union Cabinet today decided to slash down the salaries and the decision has been taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All the salaries of Ministers and Parliamentarians will have a pay cut by 30% for one year because of this coronavirus crisis. The Union Cabinet also decided to suspend the MP Local Area Development Funds for the next two years and all these amounts would be transferred into the government's consolidation fund. The expected amount under MPLADS for the country for two years is said to be Rs 7900 crores. Union information and broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar said that there would be 30% cut in the salaries of President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and governors of all the Indian states. The Union Cabinet already approved the proposal. This would come into effect from April 1st and will be applicable for one year. Even the allowances and pensions too would be cut by 30%. Mumbai's Wockhardt Hospital Closed After 26 Nurses Tested Positive With Coronavirus:- Workhardt hospital based in Mumbai got sealed today after 26 nurses from the hospital are tested positive with coronavirus. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) declared Wockhardt Hospital as containment zone yesterday and the entire premises got sealed today. Additional Municipal Commissioner of Health for BMC, Suesh Kakani sealed the Wockhardt Hospital and the staff members are asked to stay in the hospital till further intimation. Coronavirus tests are conducted for all the staff members in Wockhardt Hospital. It is heard that Wockhardt Hospital authorities have not taken any precautionary measures. 300 staff members are now left in quarantine after 26 nurses have been tested positive with coronavirus. A team is now set up to conduct a probe on how the virus was spread across the nurses in the hospital. The nurses claimed that the hospital authorities are quite negligent and they did not take any precautions. Two suspected cases are brought to Wockhardt Hospital on March 20th from Kasturba Gandhi Hospital. The suspected cases were kept in general wards because of which coronavirus was spread across the nurses of the hospital. On March 28th, two nurses from the hospital are tested positive and soon it infected ten nurses. Now a total of 26 nurses are infected with the coronavirus. (Video Source: NDTV)

TTD Executive Officer (EO) Anil Kumar Singal said that TTD already offered Rs 8 crores for Chittoor district and the other Rs 11 crores would be sent to AP Chief Minister Relief Fund. TTD also allocated all the rest houses available as a shelter for the people who are in need of this lockdown period. Maharashtra reported a record number of 747 cases and Delhi stands second with 503 cases. 62 new cases are reported in Telangana on Sunday and the total reached 334. 11 people passed away in Telangana and 33 recovered completely in Telangana. Hyderabad registered a record number of cases from the state. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) staged a high-profile meeting with the officials and he confirmed that the state has enough number of Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs). Eight Malaysian nationals were nabbed by the CISF officials at Delhi airport yesterday. They reached the airport to fly to Malaysia through a special flight. This happens to be the first animal to turn sick with coronavirus. The zoo's chief veterinarian confirmed the news on Sunday. Four-year-old Malayan tiger named Nadia was tested positive after it was screened for the disease. The tiger was tested after developing a dry cough. Three tigers and three lions are tested confirmed the zoo officials. An investigation is on to know how Nadia got infected with the coronavirus. It is expected that it got infected through a human. The news is shared with all the other zoos and the veterinarian is quite confident that the tiger would recover from coronavirus. Some of the tigers and lions are exhibiting the same symptoms in the Bronx zoo. Nadia is said to be terribly sick. X-ray tests along with ultrasound and blood tests are conducted recently along with coronavirus tests. The US Department of Agriculture National Veterinary Services Laboratories performed the test after the tiger fell sick. The zoo officials were left in shock after the tiger got tested positive. The American Veterinary Medical Association and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended people with coronavirus symptoms should stay away from their pets.
