Raider Manjeet Chillar’s 11 points helped Puneri Paltan to win against Bengaluru Bulls at game 55 of fourth season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League at Thyagaraj Sports Complex in Delhi on Wednesday.
Pune’s Deepak Niwas Hooda started the proceedings for Pune but he faced a strong reply from Rohit Kumar as they scored were leveled at 1-1. After five minutes, however, Pune raiders managed to score few points as they were leading 5-1. Pune were at 6-1 when Bulls inflicted their first super tackle to trail 3-6. After the 10th minute Pune was leading 9-5. Bulls stormed back and fill the difference rapidly as after 12 minutes they were trailing 9-10. Rohit Kumar prived vital as he provided 12-19 lead to his team and managed to pull It further ti 16-10. Bulls countering hard were leading at 19-12 after 18th minute. Bulls managed to end the half with convincing lead of 21-12.
In the second half, Pune needed to score points to be in the race for semi finals. Manjeet Chillar grabbed super five in the 25th minute and Pune raiders continued to cut the deficit as Pune were leading 22-23. Rohit Kumar’s absence harmed Bulls badly as Pune went on to score points. In the first 10 minutes of the second half, Pune scored 12 points and Bulls managed to score just three.Puneri Paltan inflicted an all out on Bulls to lead 32-26. At the end Manjeet Chillar again scored and as Pune were leading at 35-31 and soon Pune managed to end the game at 36-32.
With the win, Puneri Paltan has reached the semi final with currently being on 4th spot with 42 points.
