Atchan Naidu Bail Petition Turned Down For The Second Time:- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court turned down the bail petition of TDP leader Atchan Naidu for the second time in the ESI scam. Atchan Naidu's lawyer argued that his client did not recover completely after having a surgery and needs medical assistance in a private hospital. Atchan Naidu was recently discharged from Guntur General Hospital and is sent to Vijayawada jail. The ACB Court rejected his bail petition saying that he will influence the others who are related to this case. Several cases are registered about Atchan Naidu's medical care as he was treated in Guntur General Hospital. Atchan Naidu was discharged on July 1st evening from Guntur General Hospital and is shifted to Vijayawada sub-jail. The ACB officials continued to interrogate Atchan Naidu in the hospital on a regular basis. There are talks that some of the medical reports of Atchan Naidu are still pending but he was discharged in a hurry. Atchan Naidu is the prime accused in the ESI scam and he was taken into custody and produced before the Vijayawada ACB Court on June 12th. New iMT Gearbox for Hyundai Venue 1.0 Turbo:- Hyundai Motors announced that the Venue will get a new Intelligent Manual Transmission or iMT gearbox on the T-GDI version that would be launched this month. This is the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol version that will offer hasslefree gear shifts. This gives you a convenience of a clutch-free drive and the driver can also use the gear lever to change the gears which will help the users retain the fun of a manual car. This technology was first announced for KIA Sonet subcompact SUV in the 2020 Auto Expo. Hyundai introduced the same feature in Venue which also competes with the same segment. The Hyundai Venue T-GDI will get two pedals to operate, brake and accelerate. The Hyundai Venue T-GDI will get a gearshift level but it does not need a clutch pedal to change the gears. Hyundai says that the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) receives a signal from the TGS Level Intention Sensor and the TCU sends a signal to engage hydraulic actuator forming hydraulic pressure. It is then the driver can be able to change the gear without the need of clutch lever. This sounds like a car with manual transmission. Venue Turbo DCT is priced at Rs 9.6 lakhs in Delhi. The Hyundai Venue Turbo iMT will go on sale this month.

International Flights Ban Extended Till July 31st:- The ban on the international flights got extended till July 31st due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was July 1st initially and the ban was extended till July 15th. The ban is now further extended till the end of this month. DGCA, the civil aviation regulator said that the ban on all the international flights is extended and the cargo, special flights are allowed to operate. The Vande Bharat Mission started on May 6th and Air India along with private airlines are operating special flights across the selected international routes. The domestic flights in the country resumed on May 25th after a strict lockdown of two months. All the issued social distancing guidelines are followed in the airports and the international services got delayed. With the coronavirus turning quite severe in the country, the DGCA felt that this is not the right time to start the international flights. The traffic across the domestic services too is not satisfactory because of the coronavirus scare. The total coronavirus cases in India are said to be 6,25,544 and the death count stands at 18,213. The recovery rate in India improved to 60.72 percent till date. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, New Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and West Bengal are the worst-hit states in India.

Coronavirus Scare Reaches Tirumala Temple:- The coronavirus scare is making everyone sleepless. The infections reached to the next level across the country and the spread is huge. The Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala is open for visitors recently after the temple was shut for over 90 days. The devotees and public rushed to the temple soon after the temple's premises are opened for public visit. All the social distancing guidelines are strictly followed and the TTD has been allowing a limited number of devotees on a regular basis. As per the news, ten people from TTD are infected with the coronavirus. One among the ten infected is a priest who works in the temple along with nine other officials are tested positive with coronavirus. The officials rushed to the temple and sanitized the entire temple surroundings today. Five of them are security officials among the tested. All those who are tested positive are sent to a hospital in Tirupati. Coronavirus tests are conducted to the family members of these officials. All those who came in touch with these infected officials are traced and TTD is in plans to conduct coronavirus tests for them. All the devotees coming to Tirumala temple are screened at Alipiri and all the people who are unwell are not allowed to reach Tirumala premises. With several staff of TTD tested positive, the devotees and visitors are left in panic situation.

Bharat Biotech To Launch Coronavirus Vaccine By August 15th:- The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Bharat Biotech International Limited (BBIL) are working together for a possible vaccine for the deadly coronavirus. Bharat Biotech already announced that the first and second phase of human clinical trials will start in July. Now Bharat Biotech and ICMR made it clear that the launch of vaccines for coronavirus would be possible by August 15th. The vaccine would be launched after the clinical trials are done. Bharat Biotech and ICMR developed this indigenous coronavirus vaccine (BBV152 COVID vaccine). Twelve institutes are selected to conduct the clinical trials in the country. The ICMR made it clear to launch the vaccine in the country at the earliest considering the public health and safety. Fast track clinical trials will be conducted for the vaccine on a priority basis. Bharat Biotech is working to meet the deadline and the final output depends completely on the clinical trial sites involved. Bharat Biotech developed Covaxin in association with ICMR and National Institute of Virology (NIV). It is developed in Biotech’s BSL-3 (Bio-Safety Level 3) High Containment facility in Hyderabad's Genome Valley. The Drug Controller General of India- Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare already granted permissions for the human clinical trials.
