Celebrity magazine Entertainment weekly has named renowned Hollywood star Ben Affleck as the 2012 Entertainer of the Year by  for his stunning performance as both actor and director of the critically-acclaimed film "Argo".

EW editor Jess Cagle explained why Ben deserved the title ... "He's directed a couple of movies before but he really reached the pinnacle of his career this year; he's going to be right up there as best director with Steven Spielberg and lots of great directors"... she said.

George Clooney who produced "Argo" and insisted Ben to act and direct it, also praised Ben achievement after all his ups and downs in Hollywood ... "Hollywood loves a comeback, and he's an unbelievable comeback kid."

A well deserved title for the actor and not to mention a much needed one to drop off his 'box-office bomb' tag. Yeah ..we said it ..Ben..!
