One of the most charming faces in the world today belongs to an India and you would definitely have guessed the name already, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Today, marks the birth of a beauty  while another year was added to her age.

After being crowned the Miss World, she had started her career in Bollywood which had taken her a long distance right with her debut, Aur Pyar Ho Gaya. That was a modest start to say the least as she continued to bag laurels one after the other until her absence from the movies recently.

She was appreciated all over the world. One of the very few Indian actresses who had opportunities to work in the Hollywood, she was held in high regard even on foreign lands. Married to the Big B, Amitabh Bachchan's son, Abhishekh Bachchan her name now bears the grandiose Bachchan tag.

With the birth of her first daughter Aaradhya, her priorities in life changed and she had kept herself away from the lens for quite some time now. However, she said she would now not hesitate to take an offer if she feels that she would fit the role

Despite being away from the screen, Aishwarya has managed to win a few more awards and rewards. She was named the Best Mother along with Angelina Jolie in an online poll. She was honored by the UN who made her the Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS, their program on AIDS and HIV.
