Nannaku Prematho Story

To fulfill his father’s (Rajendra Prasad) last wish, Abhiram (Jr NTR) works with the aim of degrading Jagapathi Babu and his company.

As a part of the game, he gets close to Jagapathi Babu’s daughter, Divyanka (Rakul Preeth Singh) and later meets Jagapathi Babu, with the help of her. What are the strategies, NTR play to degrade Jagapathi Babu and what is the reason for NTR to take revenge on him and what is the last wish of Rajendra Prasad? The answers for all these questions, forms the actual story of Nannaku Prematho.

Nannaku Prematho Analysis

Not to the surprise of many, Sukumar again adopted a tough screenplay, which cannot be understood that easily by a layman, unless he puts a special concentration and do not divert from any other issues, in the theatre, other than watching the movie.

There are several twists in the film, which make the audience engaged continuously. NTR character runs on the mind game and elevates a negative shade. Rakul Preeth Singh’s kidnap scene and NTR explaining his plan to degrade Jagapathi Babu, elevates the negative shade more. The interval bang, did not have the enough twist, expected.

Coming to the second half, there are several dips. Many scenes appear as they are shot,  just to lengthen the screen time, but nothing else. Especially, NTR has immense craze in B, C centres. But those people, would get confused because of the high level English and physics terminologies, used in the movie. Comedy is almost zero percent in the movie, which is a major disappointment. On the whole, Nannaku Prematho is more of an intellectual movie, rather than a regular commercial entertainer.

Performance

NTR performance, in playing the mind games, with the characters around is absolutely perfect. There are several scenes, that show a different NTR and hopefully, that performance is expected to gain him, good following even in multiplex audience.

Rakul Preeth Singh is the glamor side of Nannaku Prematho and has nothing much to do, other than filling the songs part. Jagapathi Babu has the next key role after NTR in the film. His back to back counter game with NTR and his performance levels in all those episodes, is a must watchable. Rajendra Prasad will throughout be on bed in the film. Rest other characters have given a satisfactory performance.

Music by Devi Sri Prasad is the best thing happened to Nannaku Prematho movie. Even all the songs are shot in a stylish manner and NTR powerful dances, enhance that picturization. Cinematography is utmost stylish and production values are on the top notch. Editing has few flaws, there are several unwanted episodes in the second half, which can be chopped off, for the betterment. 

Finally, Sukumar again kept his name, in bringing out an intellectual screenplay, which can be understandable, unless the audience has put a special concentration.
