Sankarabharanam Analysis

Sankarabharanam Movie Review and Ratings

The first half has hilarious comedy episodes and sometimes, they would even appear like dominating the original plot. But before the audience come to that situation, director intelligently diverts to the main plot. The songs have been shot well and even has a good timing between the scenes. The emotional episodes are managed well and on the whole the Shankarabharanam first half has hilarious comedy episodes, with light weight emotional touch too.

It is the second half, which spoils the mood. Putting the main track aside and bringing in several unnecessary characters, which are not related to the main story, would leave the audience in deep confusion. The screenplay has several flaws in the second half. Especially, the pre-climax and the climax episodes are the major disappoints of the movie.

Performance

Nikhil as Gowtham, has given a tremendous performance once again. The shades he showed as a rich NRI, using US accent slightly, is appreciable. But that has the threat of making the common audience, loose connectivity with the lead actor, which is necessary for Tollywood films.

Nothing much to say about Nanditha’s performance. She gave the required content, for the character she was opted for. Rao Ramesh and crew are opted for the emotional part of the movie and they could satisfy audience, giving the quality performance.

Sapthagiri, Prudhvi and others, comedy is on the top notch and the audience goes hilarious, after watching their comedy on the screen. Sampath Raj and Anjali are added attractions. Rest other actors gave a satisfactory performance.

The story can be predictable, if one has good knowledge of the movie stories, that surround around the money concept. Even the screenplay has nothing much to discuss. The one liners are at the peak and even other dialogues are managed well.

The music and the background score are apt to the subject. The cinematography has been decent and the production values have been grand. If the director had managed to bring out the quality output in the second half, just like he did in the first half, Shankarabharanam would have been a top class movie.

Sankarabharanam Final Word

For those who expect less from the story and best from the comedy, Shankarabharanam would be a right one. But if you are very much concerned about the script too, kindly get satisfied with old Somayajulu’s Shankarabharanam movie, watching it in the DVD, at your homes.
