Srimanthudu Story

Harsha Vardhan (Mahesh Babu) is the only son of a rich business tycoon Ravi Kanth (Jagapathi Babu). Harsha is not interested in his father’s business and so wishes to choose a different path. It was then, he meets Charuseela (Sruthi Hassan), who pursues a rural development course in a college. Harsha joins in the same college and both the lead, falls in love very soon.

Knowing about Harsha’s rich background, Charuseela then reveals about the problems faced by the people in her village Devarakota. Coincidentally, even Harsha’s hometown is also the same village, but being brought up completely in the city, he is very less aware of the village.

Harsha comes to his village, adopts it and assures to take care of its development. Sasi (Sampath) and Venkat Ratnam (Mukesh Rushi) will be seen as baddies, who are trying to spoil the village. Why did Ravi Kanth kept his home town as secret, and how did Harsha solved the problems in his village, forms the rest of the story.

The first half of the film has a loads of entertainment. Especially Mahesh one-liners have been outstanding throughout. The songs are shot with utmost care and that can be felt on the screen. Mahesh emotional episodes have been balanced well and the racy pre interval episodes make the film catch pace. On the whole the first half of the film has beyond what the audience expects. 

The second half covers the major plot of the film. Especially, the fans who are eagerly waiting for the action episodes, will sure shot whistle at terrifying action sequences in the second half ,and also the emotional content is almost the heart of second half. The scenes connect straight to the audience and have a lot of impact. A few scenes might be boring in the parts, but as a whole, Srimanthudu still thoroughly entertaines.

Performance

Mahesh is undoubtedly the main asset of Srimanthudu. His stylish looks throughout the film will definitely give a fresh feel to the actor fans and also the normal audience. His acting in emotional scenes, has all the scope to attract the big awards in the state and the country.   

Sruthi Haasan has been gorgeous with her performance as well as with her glamour throughout the movie. Jagapathi Babu is perfect as a billionaire and Rajendra Prasad is apt for the role. Mukesh Rushi and Sampath Raj’s performance as baddies will take them to the next level in the film industry, as they delivered a stupendous performance. All the other characters are found very good and completes Srimanthudu movie.

Though the story of Srimanthudu movie is simple, it involves a strong message. The characters are narrated very well. The screenplay and the dialogues of the film need a special mention. The cinematography of Srimanthudu movie is almost the heart of the film. Devi Sri Prasad music and the background score elevate the scenes more and is a big asset to Srimanthudu.

The production values are outstanding and the rich visuals reveals the taste of the producers. Srimanthudu is again another great film from  Koratala Siva. With this, he will be one among the top directors in Tollywood. His writing skills and the way of handling the film with the right commercial ingredients are his strengths and he proved them once again with Srimanthudu.

Srimanthudu Final Word

After Dookudu and Businessman, Srimanthudu is undoubtedly a perfect comeback film of Mahesh Babu. He gave his soul to Srimanthudu, which will sure shot make his fans raise the collars.
