Story
After a super hit like 'Run Raja Run' hero Sharwanand is coming with yet another different film. 'Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju' is a romantic entertainment which is directed by Kranthi Madhav.
Raja Ram [Sharwanand] is an athlete and participates in every sporting event of his college. At one such sports meet, Raja Ram sees Nazeera [Nitya Menen] and falls in love with her instantly. Over the course of time, he manages to win the heart and love of Nazeera too. But due to unexpected incidents, Raja Ram and Nazeera get separated.
What are these incidents and how are they related to it. Will Raja Ram and Nazeera ever meet again forms the plot.
Analysis
Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju is all about life after break ups. The script is mature one and needs to be handled sensibly. Director Kranthi Madhav was partly successful but misses the target. Such scripts need to have balance of emotions and performance. The selection of actors is good but the director should have concentrated more on the plot. The dialogues are very good and for a feel good script like this dialogues should be touchy. The first half is youthful while second half is emotional.
The only thing that the movie falls behind is its pace. From beginning to ending, the film is slow and takes it own time to reveal certain twists. This film is completely for the multiplex audiences and commercial elements are given a miss. The B and C centre audience may not like the film.
Performance
Sharwanand is one of those actors in Tollywood who goes behind the script rather than the director, budget and x factors. After playing a naughty role, he comes with a decent performance in the film. He will definitely live up to the audience expectations and shows his mature side. The scenes involving his mother in the movie or the romantic relation with Nazeera [Nitya Menin], Sharwa just stuns us.
Nitya Menen is also the lady who is very selective about her films. This is a cake walk character for the natural beauty. She combines her glamour and performance as usual and comes up with a good entertaining character. Nitya too shows her mature side in the movie.
Final Word
A Mature film that misses the target, nevertheless try it once.
