Srikanth starrer Devaraya has hit the theatres across the globe today. Directed by Nani Krishna, Devaraya evoked poor response at the box office on day one. Devaraya is a socio-fantasy movie that lacked tight script and screenplay. Go through our review before you watch the movie.

Story
Dorababu (played by Srikanth) is a happy go lucky type person who takes life as it comes without any complaints (this character is nothing new to Telugu audience). Just like an average man, he falls for a beautiful figure Swapna (Vidusha). (Since he's hero) Dorababu immediately makes Swapna lose her heart for him with his other side (which happens to be good part of Dorababu).
As this love track keeps going, the movie will take a turn with Sivaji Raja, an archeologist, finds some excavations that belong to grand emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya. He then takes help of Ranganath and translates a diary of Sri Krishnadevaraya. What does the diary reveal and what Dorababu has to do with it forms the remaining part of the story.
Analysis :
Devaraya lacked good subject in the first place. Secondly, the screenplay was so slow that it would get on your nerves. Songs were pathetic. There's no logic at all in the movie. Proper emphasis was not there on theme of the movie. Enough justice was not done to emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya. The production values too were low.
Performance :
Srikanth tried his best he tried to imitate Chiranjeevi and NTR at many places. Vidisha was looking gorgeous but her performance was not up to the mark. Ranganath and others were okay.
Final Word: Strictly for Srikanth fans
