Story
Vijay is a rebel among them always questioning things and believing that learning is more than just the usual mode of education.
He encourages his friends to look beyond the ordinary and soon earns the wrath of the college director Virus.
Despite his fun and frolic, Rancho always surprises everyone by topping the class. He even manages to win the affections of the director's daughter Pia. But Rancho's greatest contribution lies is making his friends realise their true calling.
The twist comes when on Graduation Day. After being awarded the Student of the Year title, Vijay mysteriously disappears into oblivion.
Years later, his friends, finding a common thread, embark on a journey to find their friend. 3 Idiots is a story of friendship, hope, aspirations and most importantly, the goodness of life.
Analysis :
The story revolves around the Journey of 3 students of a Engineering college, right from the joining the course and then coming out Graduated. The film talks about why passion is important to be survived? Why only studies are just not the priority in life and many times how you yourself would fail to understand what you actually want in life. Though the film is more or less same to that of the original Hindi version, Director Shankar has managed to show the variation in portraying the roles, making of the songs and adding ‘his’ touch to this film. Though the Music of the film is not so catchy it is not bad in either case. The film seems to be good to watch, but do not expect the film to be something new, as we all are familiar with original version of the film and even ‘Snehithudu’ is exact same to that of the Original version.
But, this is what even Director Shankar has said during the Audio launch of the film. He said he was inspired to give the South Indian Audience the ultimate treasure created by the maker of ‘3 Idiots’… of course, this Director made sure he would keep up to his words.
Performance :
Vijay, Sri Ram, Jeeva, Iliana, Satya Raj, S.J. Suriya, Satyan and every other actor for that matter contributed their best for the film. Director Shankar was careful enough this time to not ot experiment at all and just stick to enhance the originality of the film. However, his creativity was shown in the songs as well. The roles would not dominate each other and cannot be compared with the Artists performance in the original film. It is just that, how do you see the film. The rest all elements are up to the mark and the film is a complete package
Final Word ‘Snehithudu’, a worth watching film.
