Performance:

Suriya is at his best. He justified for various roles like Bodhi Dharma and as a circus artist. Suriya's effort and hard work is clearly visible on the screens. He mold his physic to suit the roles both for martial arts and as circus artist.

Shruti Haasan has done good work. She has got good opportunity to perform however, her role is limited in the movie. She looked glamours in songs.

Johnny Tri Nguyen as villain has done extraordinary job. His martial arts is terrific.

Analysis:

Direction by Murugadoss is good. He has come up with a good idea. He connected 6th century with modern science. His concept of DNA is interesting and created curiosity among audiences during second half of the movie. Even though there are some twists in the movie, the story is predictable by the audience. Audience felt that the movie ended suddenly. Director could have handed second half better. Action sequences by Peter Haynes are good Music by Harris Jayraj is good. Cinematography by Ravi K Chandran is good. Visual effects especially in first 20 minutes is excellent. Finally, director tried to give some message to the audience on the history and science.
