There are many experimental films that come up, every now and then. But, certain films that make us think while watching them and try to play on our psychology, do not be made regularly. One such Psychological thriller, ‘key’ released today, is not for any set of audience. The film is for those, who try to experiment in watching films, and who prefer to think about certain points raised while watching the film. ‘Key’ is not a chill out film. It is definitely an experimental film, be it in the terms of take off of the film, star cast and even the question the film in turn puts to the audience. To know about ‘key’, read further;

Story:

The Movie is all about a set of people who are called to attend the interview. The interviewer (Jagapathi Babu), gives them a question, and asks them to find out the key. Now weather there is a question or not, what would the candidates find out as an answer, there is any reason behind all this, or it is just a puzzle given to test the candidate’s ability and nothing else, we have to see on Silver Screen.

Performance & Analysis:

The entire film has been shot in a single room. Director Nagendra Prasad, student of University of Hyderabad, has directed this experimental film. This is the Director’s debutant. Rather than going for a minimum guarantee formula film, it is good to see that the director has opted to make an experimental film. Apart from Jagapathi Babu, no other well noted Actor has been seen in the film. well noted news presenters Swapna (Saakshi TV), Deepthi Vajpai (TV9), will be seen in the film. all other star cast are Software Professionals from Mahindra Satyam. There would be no songs in the film, apart from a promotional track. Jagapathi Babu who has been experimenting with his roles, has come up with another experimentation, that turns out to earn him a good reward.

The Cinematographer P.G. Vinda, who has earlier handled the Camera for National Award Winning film ‘Grahanam’, has done an extra ordinary work for this film, as the Cameraman showed lot of variations in capturing a film that has been shot in a single room. The background score is composed by Vijay Kurakula, is quite apt for the film. ‘Key’ is filmed under the digital film making.

The film gives you a feel that the situations are happening natural in front of you, and that you are not watching a film on screen. Yes, this flick is an entertaining one.

Final Word:

‘Key’, and psychological Thriller, that played right on audience.
