After receiving a stupendous success in the form of Srimanthudu, Mahesh is still not able to come to the next project and is just enjoying Srimanthudu success.

As of now, Mahesh took a short break and went to Thailand, taking his family to enjoy the holidays. After his return, he would participate in Brahmotsavam shooting.

Till then, the makers are planning to complete the pre production activities. Pranitha and Kajal are already confirmed as the female lead and as per the script, another main female lead is required for the story.
 
Regarding this, Rakul Preeth Singh was contacted in the past, but as she demanded huge remuneration, the makers put her aside and reportedly opted Samantha.

But Mahesh, who already acted in ‘Dookudu’ with Samantha, is showing interest in Rakul this time. However there are various other rumors on the issue, saying that Mahesh fans rivalry with Samantha, is making Mahesh to put Samantha aside.    

As per Mahesh’s suggestion, now the makers again contacted Rakul Preeth Singh and had to convince with her regarding the remuneration. The official announcement about this is expected to come out in a short time.
 
Just like Srimanthudu, even Brahmotsavam is targeted at the family audience. The movie shooting will start on September 20th and Mahesh will join the shoot from September 14th.
