Dance master turned Director Lawrence’s directorial, Tamil dubbed film ‘Kaanchana’ is released today. The trailers of the film seem to be breath taking and yet, eye catching. Lawrence, apart from directing this film, appeared in a terrific role. The buzz is that, initially, Anushka was the first choice of Lawrence, to play this role that more or less has shades of a ‘Gay’ mannerism in the character.

Considering her image factor, and this role to be a too much of a experiment with her image, Anushka refused to act in this role. So, Lawrence ended up acting in this role. As per the sources, the role of Lawrence plays a very important quotient in the film and considering all this it is better that Anushka has not played the role.

Because, when you reach certain stage in your career, and more or less acquire that so called image, it is very difficult to get out of that image and start experimenting with your looks and roles. Because, one wrong step taken in this phase can ruin the entire career!
