Who is ruling Andhra Pradesh? Is it chief minister Kirankumar reddy or Governor ESL Narasimhan? The latest developments indicate that Narasimhan continues to call the shots in administrative matters despite the presence of chief minister in the state as the head of executive.
Governor attended an important core committee meeting of the congress party in Delhi Friday evening where he submitted his report on the latest situation in the state to congress party president and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi after the disclosure of the Sri Krishna Committee report on Telangana.
The absence of chief minister Kirankumar reddy at the meeting of the top decision making body of the congress party has made rumor mills grind the story that Governor has become powerful than the chief minister in the state.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Defense Minister AK Antony, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Home minister P. Chidambaram and Ahmad Patel, political secretary to congress president. The meeting decided to take a decision on the issue of Telangana after talking to all political parties on the committee report before the budget session of the parliament begins towards the end of February.
Separately, the Governor had a meeting with Sonia Gandhi that lasted about half an hour in which he explained about the law and order situation in the state.
