A Telugu TV channel today telecast a story saying that Bhanu Kiran, the suspected killer of the faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri, stayed along with his private gunman Manmohan Singh at a paying guest accommodation at Gurgaon but now moved from the place.
Quoting the statement given by Manmohan Singh to the Hyderabad central crime station (CCS), the channel said that Bhanu along with him used to travel to Delhi daily to buy Telugu newspapers and see some movies. According to the story, Bhanu asked him not to reveal to any one that they were staying at Gurgaon and threatened to kill him if his direction was violated.
Bhanu again threatened Manmohan with dire consequences after he was found talking to his wife on his mobile forcing him to flee Gurgaon and Bhanu with fear to his native place in UP. Three days after his arrival at his native place, Andhra police teams arrested Manmohan Singh on January 23, according to the story.
The story goes on to add that on the day Suri was killed, Bhanu asked Manmohan to wait for him at Kukatpalli. As per his word, Bhanu arrived at Kukatpalli along with one Mr Loknath at 6.30 PM and they together went to Sholapur, from there to Pune and then to Gwalior via Mumbai and then they finally reached Gurgaon via Delhi. The channel, quoting the statement, said Manmohan Singh had informed police he did not know that Bhanu killed Suri.
After his arrest, Manmohan Singh took the police teams to the paying guest accommodation where they stayed in Gurgaon but by then Bhanu gave the slip to them.
