Political circles are abuzz with speculation that the PRP chief and mega star Chiranjeevi will take a final decision on merging his party with the congress after a detailed meeting with congress president Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Sunday next.

In the meeting, Sonia will formally request Chiru to merge his party with congress and immediately after that, he will hold a meeting with his MLAs and senior leaders to discuss the issue and take a decision. All PRP MLAs are requested to be available in Delhi on the coming Sunday for this purpose.

Sources said that the MLAs will entrust Chiranjeevi with the responsibility of taking a decision on the merger issue. Chiru, after formally taking a decision to merge his party with the congress and officially announcing the merger, will meet Sonia along with his MLAs and pose for a group photo with her.

The sources said that an agreement has been reached on merger when Union Defence Minister and congress core committee member AK Antony discussed the issue with Chiru three days ago in Hyderabad. As per the agreement, some PRP leaders will be accommodated in legislative council and four or five MLAs of PRP will be taken into the cabinet.
