Political circles are abuzz that the former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan reddy is delaying launching of his new party as the central government has not yet announced its decision on the demand for formation of separate state of Telangana.
The problem is he has to announce his stand on the issue of Telangana if he launches his party now. And he is not in a position to announce his stand of his new party without knowing the stand of the Centre, which would naturally be the stand of the congress. But, he must come out with a clear cut stance of his new party to provide it a strong base across AP.
To know the pulse of the Centre on the issue, Jagan sent his loyalist MP Sabbam Hari to the Seema Andhra MPs meeting with union minister Pranab Mukherjee in Delhi. Since the stance of the Centre on the issue is not yet clear, Jagan has decided to postpone the launching of his outfit to escape from the headache of revealing his stance on the Telangana demand.
Indications are that he may come out with the slogan of ‘Golden Telangana’ to have a base for his party in T region in case the Centre goes ahead with the implementation of the sixth suggestion of the Sri Krishna Committee report for keeping the state united.
