Vijay Sethupathi's Paycheque Shocks South Cinema:- Vijay Sethupathi is one of the best actors of this generation. The actor is taking up challenging roles and he has his dairy full for the year. The actor is also making his Bollywood debut this year. He will be seen playing the role of the lead antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie Jawan directed by Atlee. Vijay Sethupathi is reportedly charging Rs 21 crores for the film which is huge. This is a record for a South Indian character actor. The shoot of the film is currently happening in Chennai.

After the super success of Kamal Haasan's Vikram, Vijay Sethupathi hiked his fee. Though he was in talks for Jawan from a long time, the actor signed the film only after the release of Vikram. Vijay Sethupathi is equally excited about the role. The makers reportedly agreed to pay the fat paycheque for Vijay Sethupathi. Nayanthara is the leading lady and Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover will be seen in other key roles. Shah Rukh Khan's home banner Red Chillies Entertainment are the producers of Jawan. The film is heading for a theatrical release on June 2nd, 2023.
