AR Rahman's Mother Passes Away:- Top Indian music composer AR Rahman is occupied with enough work and he has several international projects in the pipeline. His mother Kareema Begum has been unwell from the past few months and she passed away due to prolonged and age-related illness. Kareema Begum is getting treated in a private hospital in Chennai from some time. AR Rahman took his social media platform to confirm the demise of his mother. The last rites of Kareema Begum will be performed this evening.

Condolences poured in from all the corners of the country after the tragedy. AR Rahman's father RK Shekhar passed away when Rahman was nine years and it was his mother who raised him. At the age of 23 years, Rahman and his family got converted to Islam and got their names changed. Rahman during several occasions revealed that he reached great heights because of his mother and her support. On work front, Rahman's last movie was Sushant Singh Rajput's Dil Bechara and he is currently composing music for Atrangi Re, Mimi, Cobra and 99 Songs along with some of the South Indian films.
