“As Baahubali is being planned to release across the country, we thought that a universal figure would be beneficial to Sivagami character in the film, but due to the non availability of their dates, we finally considered Ramya Krishna, who is later proved as the perfect and an irreplaceable choice for the character,” Rajamouli said in an interview.

It was known that, Rajamouli showered huge praises on the senior actress in the audio release function. In fact, Ramya Krishna too said that, it is her career best character that she played in the film.

Alternatives considered for Sivagami character  

Revealing about the groundwork of the character, Rajamouli said that, Sivagami has a lot to do in the film, it’s a very great performance oriented character. So it would be better, if an actress who has a nationwide popularity was found, as the film is garnered a universal craze. So Rajamouli considered Sridevi, a yesteryear popular actress of Indian cinema. Along with her, Tabu and other names are also heard, but due to the non availability of the dates, Rajamouli had to drop the idea and search for a right actress in local.

Who has that capability to portray a powerful character like Sivagami other than Ramya Krishna? With the same opinion Rajamouli dropped Ramya Krishna into Baahubali and is now in hoping her to make famous nationwide. Let us see, who far Sivagami convinces audience.
