Tollywood's heroine scarcity deepens

There are omnious tidings in the Telugu Film Industry sending chills on a hot day. Firstly, many of the present top heroines are looking towards expanding their fame with other language films. Secondly, the local talent is not being given its due credit. Both reasons combine to deepen the heroine scarcity in Tollywood.

There is Samantha, who has revealed that she has not signed any new Telugu movies in past few months. The Tamil actress wants to focus more on Tamil films in the near future. Then there is Kajal, who as we know hasn't signed any Telugu films after Baadshah. She will next be seen in a special role in the missing 'Yevadu' and then there will be no sight of her. She too has Tamil projects that she is holding on to.

Next there is Ileana, who was mired in controversy over her rude comments on top heroes. Still, she was doing fine in Tollywood, before the tiny waisted actress decided to pack her bags to Bollywood. After Ranbir and Shahid Kapoor, she has now signed her fourth Hindi film opposite Varun Dhawan. Ileana is currently shooting for a Bollywood film with Saif Ali Khan.

Coming to Tamannah, she is very much here. It is heard that she is part of Mahesh Babu's Aagadu afterall, the shooting of which will begin soon. However, she has her sights fixed firmly on Bollywood, going by her extra efforts to show herself as glamorous as possible for the Hindi audience. It is rumored that she has gone another step further in the exposure department to grab the hearts of Hindi film lovers.

This next one is no less than shocking. One would never imagine Anushka Shetty would go anywhere. Still, the town is buzzing with news of her imminent marriage. She still has Bahubali and Rudramadevi in the making stages and Varna up for release. Fans will immensely miss their Sweety if she takes a 'break' from films. And then there is Anjali, who is a wonderful actress, but is not being considered for serious heroine roles because of her homely image. That's how deep the trouble is for Tollywood's heroes.
