Charan's Zanjeer stuck in legal Toofan

Zanjeer has a lot of fizz. But does it have the taste? It is hard to tell unless the film actually releases on the 'non-negotiable' date. Apoorva Lakhia may have said the movie will release without fail on 6th September, but that is under question.

Even Toofan's release has its glitches. The film's audio release function is set for tomorrow. However, as far as the film's release itself is concerned, the state's political situation is still looming overhead. Unless that cools down, Toofan cannot heat up. Otherwise, it will burn in the Telangana - Seemandhra inferno.

The political situation even prompted the makers of Bheemavaram Bullodu, starring actor/comedian Sunil, to change its title to Dasara Bullodu.

Meanwhile, Zanjeer is in trouble too. One of the ex-producers of Zanjeer remake have slapped a legal notice on the film's current producers for using a 'borrowed' bike in the 'Mumbai Ki Hero' song. Probably they too got turned on when Priyanka seemed to say 'you turn me on' to Charan in the song.

Be that as it may, Apoorva Lakhia laughed at the developments, challenging them to come up with more creative ideas to stall Zanjeer's release. It is known that Javed Akhtar has an issue over the remake rights.

Another problem is that, if Toofan's release is affected, would Zanjeer also get delayed? We know that Bollywood movies are making big bucks even in the interiors of the State. It is hard to say what will happen.

Toofan's Telugu dubbing will have singer Chinmayi lending her voice for Priyanka's role as the actress is busy with her own songs abroad. Chinmayi was the voice of Samantha, but will not give her anymore voice overs. Sam may speak Telugu for her next releases. Toofan has many good things going for it, but also many bad things going against it.
