Full steam ahead for Shah Rukh's Chennai Express

South India is under the spotlight this Friday. Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express is scheduled for release worldwide, including markets such as Israel, Peru, Austria, France, Morocco, Switzerland and Germany.

This Rs75 crore film will have a scot free, solo run at the box office with 3,500 screens in India and 700 screens abroad set to show the movie. Developed lovingly under the direction of Rohit Shetty, Chennai Express will race full steam ahead in the coming weeks.

Chennai Express is a commercial, comedy themed, larger than life film, guaranteed to give audiences plenty of tickles. Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravijiani composed its music, bringing back singer SP Balasubrahmanyam to Hindi Cinema.

For the diehard Shah Rukh fans, he is before us as 'Rahul' again, who falls in love with a stubborn, traditional South India. Deepika Padukone, as Meena Lochni, has mastered the typical Tamil flavor for her character. This is not a spoof against South culture, she confirmed to the media, adding that South Indian women are both intelligent and attached to their families.

Big names, big money, Chennai Express will be the first movie to be released simultaneously in India and Peru on the same day.
