Earlier disappointed Deepika Padukone seems to be called on by the Superstar Rajnikanth’s daughter Soundarya R Ashwin, to act in their forth coming venture Kochadaiyaan 3D. The B-Wood beauty missed an earlier chance to act with the Superstar in the K S Ravi Kumar directorial venture, `Rana.’ On the sets of the film the superstar developed and stomach disorder, for which he was flown to Singapore for treatment. And as soon as he returned this film was announced leaving the classy beauty in dismay. But the producer of the film Soundarya confirmed that Deepika is the ultimate choice for the film.

Kochadaiyaan to go on floors shortly is being directed by Soundarya, under the guidance of K S Ravikumar. The music is scored by the music stalwart A R Rehman. The heroine for the film was kept on hold, since some time amid various speculations. The main rumor that spread across was that Katarina Kaif or Ayesha Takia may don the role. But luck favored Deepika and she seems to flying with the invitation.

The debut director tweeted: “Guys. Deepika padukone confirmed to play appa s pair in Kochadaiyaan :) great to have you back with us @deepikapadukone :):) big hug!”

The shoot will begin in March but pre-production is on. AR Rahman had earlier recorded a song for the film with Germany’s Babelsberg Orchestra in Mumbai. The other star cast in the film includes, Bollywood star Jackie Shroff, another top Tamil star R Sarath Kumar, Sneha, Aadhi, Nasser and Shobana. Historically, Kochadaiyaan Ranadhiran (710-735) was a King of the Pandya dynasty. He was the son and successor of Arikesari Maravarman. He was warrior who engaged in hostilities with the rival Cholas, Cheras, Marathas, Chalukyas and Gangas.  (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
