Tollywood’s high budgeted movie ‘Shakti’, featuring Jr. NTR and Ileana, is not releasing on March 31 as announced earlier. In stead of March 31, the movie will now hit the screens on April 1.
The producers of the movie have decided to postpone the release by one day as India-Pakistan semi final match of the 2011 Cricket World Cup is scheduled for March 30 and most of the cine-goers may not show interest to reach theaters screening this movie if the movie is released on the very next day.
The day-night match will take away the sleep of the Indians and they may not be able to come to theaters with in the next 24 hours, the producers fear.
The movie is ready to hit the screens as the censors gave it ‘A’ certificate with no cuts on Thursday. ‘Shakti’ is produced by top Tollywood producer C. Ashwini Dutt for his Vyjayanthi Movies and directed by Meher Ramesh.
