It is neither Nayanatara nor Priyamani who will don the leading lady role opposite Venky in his Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster ‘Bodyguard’. The makers of the film have finally zeroed in on Trisha.

Till now, reports have indicated that Nayanatara and Priyamani are in the race for the role but the production team of the movie has kept the negotiations with Trisha under tight secret. That Trisha was roped in for this project had indicated both the Malayalam girls Nayanatara and Priyamani were dropped from the movie like hot potatoes.

While Nayanatara played the leading lady character in the original Malayalam version, Asin donned the role in its Tamil version.

Trisha, confirming the report, has said that she will watch both the original and Tamil versions to have a grip on her character. The movie is yet to be titled in Telugu which will be directed by Gopichand Malineni of ‘Don Seenu’ fame.
