‘Shakti’ shot for 13 months

shaktiMega producer Ashwini Dutt, who produced the high budgeted multi lingual movie ‘Shakti’ that features Jr. NTR and the Goa beauty Ileana in lead roles, said today that the movie was shot in a span of 13 months and the unit spent 5 months on pre-production work. “It is the result of hard work spanning over one-and-a-half-year, everything put together,” he announced at a media conference in Hyderabad.

“My daughter Priyanka Chalasani personally supervised the pre-production work and shooting part,” he said, adding ‘Shakti’ was the first movie to undergo the shoot for 13 months in the history of the Telugu film industry.

The movie will be released across south India with a record number of prints and in Tamil, it will be released with the title ‘Om Shakti’.

Dutt said that a team of 300 technicians worked on the project and the shooting took place in Egypt apart from places like Ladakh, Haridwar and Rishikesh and some other towns in India.

Made with the backdrop story of five Shakti Peethams of the country, the movie will also be remade in Hindi and the details revealed soon, the producer said. “After Robot, this is the only movie that can boast of lavish settings,” he said proudly.
