Prestigious production house Yash Raj films, recently announced their upcoming movie, Kabir Khan's directorial venture Ek Tha Tiger, Salman and Katrina playing the lead roles.
Of late, the information has come to lime light that it was Yash Raj films favorite, Shahrukh Khan who was offered to play the lead first. Due to date’s issues, Shahrukh backed off and the offer went to Salman Khan.

Recently, in one of his public appearances, when Shahrukh was asked about this, he replied
“Yes, Salman’s film [Ek Tha Tiger] with Yashraj was first offered to me. Lack of time in the calendar prompted me not to say yes to Ek Tha Tiger”.

SRK also said right now he is concentrating on the amount of quality work that he does and not on how many films he acts. He also said Yash Raj Films produces 20 films in a year and he can’t act in all of them. However, Ek Tha Tiger is Salman’s first film under YRF. And he is sharing the screen space with Katrina for the first time after their break up. Looks “Dabanng” will remain to be a mile stone in Salman’s career, as far as the name and fame he earned with the film.

Technically, it was Salman who was a first choice to act in “Chak De India”. Due to monetary issues this could not happen.
