Indian allrounder Yuvraj Singh has been sold for Rupees 14 crore to Banglore Royal Challengers and wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik was auctioned for Rupees 12.5 crores by Delhi Daredevils in the IPL Auction. And apart from these two players no other Indian cricketers were auctioned for more than five crore. England batsman Kevin Pietersen was bought by Delhi Daredevils team for 9 crore and Man of the Ashes series Mitchell Johnson went to Kings Eleven Punjab for 6.5 crore.
Australian allrounder Gelnn Maxwell was also bagged by Kings Punjab team for 6 crores. Shah Rukh's Kolkatta Knight Riders bought Yusuf Patan and Umesh Yadav while Sun Risers Hyderabad bagged Irfan Patan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Amit Mishra. New Zealand latest sensation Corey Anderson was bagged by Mumbai Indian for Rupees 4.5 crore. Out of all teams, Rajasthan Royals did not show much interest in the auction and their highest bid was for Steven Smith of Australia for 4 crore.
