First Day of Sachin's 199th Test Match

First Test Match out of two between India and West Indies started today at Kolkata. The Bengal Cricket Association organized the match taking it as a prestigious event. Cricket lovers are showing interest as it is Sachin Tendulkar’s 199th match. Most of them have expressed their interest more in Sachin’s record but not in the victory of India.

As Indian team captain Mahender Singh Dhoni opted for the fielding after the toss is won, Sachin energetically went to field at boundary line at the same time busy in giving autographs to his fans.

West Indies had to wind up their first innings after getting 234 runs bowing to Indian bowlers.  Samuels in West Indies team made maximum runs of 65. Indian Bowler Mohammad Shami took maximum number of 4 wickets.

After the West Indies were all out, Indian team started playing for their first innings.  By the end of the day, India made 37 runs for no loss of wickets.  Murali Vijay made 16 runs and Sikhar Dhawan made 21 and both are in the crease not out.
