Saina Nehwal wins Thailand Open

India's ace shuttler and world number Five won the final at the Thailand open Shuttle Badminton tourney on Sunday. Saina beats her opponent from Thailand's Ratchanok Inthanon in the final of the event in Bangkok. The Indian acer  beat Inthanon 19-21 21-15 21-10 at the C U Sport Complex in Bangkok for her second title of the year after the Swiss Open win in March.

Sports enthusiast feel that this win for the Indian would prove good for her forthcoming games in the London Olympics. Spectacular serves of the Indian ensured her the Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold title. Saina was clearly the better of the two at net but it was Inthanon's seven smash winners against the Indian's one which made the decisive difference in the game. The change of ends in the second game also brought with it a change in fortunes as Saina took the lead by drawing Inthanon to the net and forcing her to commit mistakes.

A formidable lead, change of sides and continuous errors of the opponent coupled with splendid shots played in favour of the ace player. In a nutshell Saina started on a shaky ground but pulled in stronger to evince past the Thai with her sheer guts. (With inputs from Internet - AarKay)
