Pulling off a miracle and setting a new world record, India today won the tri-series one day international against Sri Lanka in Hobart by seven wickets and with 80 balls to spare gaining the much needed bonus point.

Playing with precision to get the bonus point, Virat Kohli smashed 16 boundaries and two sixes to reach 133 from 86 balls to keep alive the team’s chances of reaching the tri-series finals being played in Australia.

Kohli’s breathtaking assault and useful contributions from all the other top-order batsmen helped India get the bonus point. This is the ninth ODI ton for Kohli and his second against the Lankans.

Throughout the innings, India maintained an unbelievable and miraculous run-rate of 8.75 runs per over while chasing the Lankan score.
