The WTA and ATP rankings release on Monday stated that Indian ace tennis player Sania has moved up by a place to 63 and Somdev Devvarman has moved down a place to 64.

With this Sania seems to progress in her game plan, but it may be noted that she has not gone beyond first rounds and qualifiers in the last four tournaments played after her coming back to the circuit post Wimbledon break. 

Hence she needs a sound strategy to face the German, Sabine Lisicki, world number 22 at the Texas Tennis Open singles campaign. 

But statistics point out that in the last two meetings between them they were even with Sania winning at Charleston and the German at Auckland.

Sania has not moved in her doubles ranking and she has maintained at number 11. In WTA race to year-end championship, Sania and her Russian doubles partner, Elena Vesnina have maintained third rank.
