Lasith Malinga Scripts History in International Cricket:- Sri Lankan ace pacer and captain Lasith Malinga scripts history after he took four wickets in just four balls and is named as the first bowler in the history of International cricket to claim five international hat-tricks. Lasith Malinga showed no signs of slowing down and recorded 5/6 of just four overs. As a result, Sri Lanka recorded a 37-run victory over New Zeland in the third T20 International.

Lasith Malinga is also the first bowler to take four wickets in four balls twice in any international cricket format. He earlier made this possible against South Africa in 2007 in a World Cup match. Lasith Malinga also is named as the first bowler to bag 100 T20 International wickets. Malinga's haul marked the joint sixth-best bowling figures ever recorded in a T20I. Malinga was named as the player of the match. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. They managed to get 125/8 in their 20 overs. With Malinga's rocking performances, New Zealand tumbled down for 88.
