World Cup 2019: Hit Star for Team India:- Team India opened with a bang in their first match of World Cup 2019. India clashed with South Africa in their opening match and registered a comfortable victory. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat in Rose Bowl Cricket Ground. South Africa managed to make 227/9 in 50 overs and Chris Morris (42), Faf du Plessis (38) and Andile Phehlukwayo (34) are the top scorers of the game. Yuzvendra Chahal (4/51), Jasprit Bumrah (2/35) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/44) have been outstanding with the ball.
Chasing 228 runs, Team India started on a slow note and they lost Dhawan soon. Rohit Sharma's striking 122 not out and MS Dhoni (34), KL Rahul (26) supported well. India managed to chase the total in 47.3 overs. Kagiso Rabada (2/39), Chris Morris (1/36) and Andile Phehlukwayo (1/40) managed to get decent numbers with the ball. Rohit Sharma has been named as the player of the match. India will fight with Australia in their next match on June 9th in The Oval, London.
