IPL Opening Ceremony Cancelled:- Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2019 is all set to open on March 23rd and the schedule for two weeks has been announced recently. As a mark of respect for the CRPF personnel passed away, the opening ceremony of IPL this year has been cancelled. Committee of Administrators (CoA) took the decision and issued a statement after they decided to allocate the money for the families of CRPF jawans who were killed in the Pulwama attack. IPL organizers spend a bomb every year on the opening ceremony and several top Indian actors shake their leg for the event.

Vinod Rai, the Chairman of CoA said that the inaugural function of IPL is cancelled and the money goes to the martyrs' families. BCCI acting President CK Khanna made the proposal to donate Rs 5 crores for the families of the CRPF jawans. An update on the exact amount to be donated will be revealed soon. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the first match on March 23rd. With Lok Sabha polls heading during summer, the complete schedule of IPL 2019 will be out once the election notification will be out.
